“If listening is an act of love, will you open your window?”, said the Joo Chiat wall. That statement got us thinking about the recent wind episodes back home.

The strong sea breeze in the day kept slamming our windows shut when they are left ajar. When the windows are left wide open, the strong wind wrecks havoc, spewing dusts and rattling everything in its way, but brings in the much needed respite from the heat.

I guess when it comes to listening, this window episode does cast some light on the statement. Just like an open window, knowing the nuts and bolts, the good and bad, of every situation (be it conflicts or squabbles!) certainly goes a long way toward a healthy relationship. And that in itself, is an act of love!
