Hui Ning + Yii Hwei // Dolomites Adventure
It was early September, and while enroute from Munich toward the Dolomites, I overheard some tourists predicting that snow would arrive in a few days. As the train sped along, I looked out at the sweeping paranoma of lush greenery rushing backwards in a trippy fashion. The rolling hills of vibrant greens and deep emeralds blurred and blended together in a vivid ever-changing canvas. I was inherently skeptical of the snow forecast. Besides, it was still early in the season. Our bigger worry was rain, and luckily we adjusted our plans to avoid it.
On our final day, as we watched the relentless rain pelted down the windows of our airbnb apartment, something magical happened: the steady rhythm of the rain gradually faded, as the raindrops transformed into delicate snowflakes drifting through the air. Slowly, the landscape outside soften, blanketed in a gentle white silence. It was a breathtaking sight, and we were so glad we made the most of it, riding the wave of everyone’s excitement and enthusiasm! 😎🙌🏻
